Project goals and objectives:

  • Empower university-enterprises partnerships in Armenia, Georgia, and Ukraine by modernizing engineering education based on remote engineering and virtual instrumentation enhanced with transversal knowledge and competences at universities; and offering contemporary methods of the vocational education and training for adults in enterprises.
  •             Methodology for identification and monitoring of knowledge and skills needs of labour market by June 2013,
  •             Learning program that will incorporate transversal and electronics/ alternative technologies using remote laboratories and virtual instrumentation knowledge and competences by July 2015,
  • Mutually beneficial and sustainable partnerships between academia and enterprises by offering internship programs for university and up-to-date industry training programs by Sep 2015.

 

Expected results:

  • Stably functioning established Experts Panel
  • Concepts of the “University-Enterprises Partnership”; Memorandum of Understanding and Internship Programme;
  • Open Learning Environment “iCo-op Learning Environment” function stably;
  • Remote laboratories/ virtual instruments;
  • Creating a methodology for determining and monitoring the demand of knowledge and skills in engineering;
  • Twenty-four engineering modules with remote / virtual tools will be developed and supported by transversal modules;
  • Teaching of educational programs that combine transversal knowledge and competences ;
  • Mutually beneficial long-term partnerships between academic and entrepreneurial communities through internships and modern educational production programs offers;
  • Preparatory training for teachers / instructors;
  • iC-op conference “Perspectives of cooperation between universities and enterprises”;
  • Partners’ cooperation Agreements and joint training program.
  • Project results dissemination.
